Exploring A John Of God Healing Tour

By Sharron Cantu

When visiting Brazil, individuals may want to look at taking a tour of the countryside. The John of God Healing tour is just one of these treks. Most are provided by local guides which take groups of tourists to a number of different healing sacred sites.

It is important to hire a knowledgeable and preferably certified guide for this type of journey. Most often these tours include as many as sixteen individuals, often strangers on a trek to sacred healing sites near Brazilia. It is for this reason it is important to hire a guide whom knows the area and whom can call for help in case of accident or injury.

There are some other considerations when selecting a guide. First, yes, how long the guide has been working and whether or not the individual has had training and certification. Another being the knowledge level of the different sacred sites and healing benefits. As different guides have different schedules and tour the area different times of year, it is often best to find a guide based on the traveler's schedule.

When it is possible to arrive at a tour on a specific date, the guide tends to meet the attendees in Brazilia. Once in the area, tour members are taken by bus or taxi to a local hotel. The hotel, often a five star property offers one of the best buffets in the region for those who can arrive on a Saturday.

Once all members of the tour are on-site, the group meets the guide and plans out the tour. The first day tends to focus on Brazil's sacred churches and temples. Each day, lunch will be provided in a traditional Brazilian Churrascaria, somewhat like Barbeque restaurants in other parts of the world.

Most guides offering this tour find that it is best to start the trek in this way. One reason being that these churches and temples are believed to also have sacred healing powers. These powers can often have an effect in opening hearts and minds to healing even before realized by those in attendance.

Individuals eventually arrive at Abadiania, a local lodging establishment that is reasonable, comfortable and clean. More importantly it is only a two minute walk from the Casa which host many of these tours. The hotel offers wi-fi, laundry and a swimming pool. Whereas, the food at the Casa is quite healthy with offerings of veggie, rice, beans and chicken dishes believed to help heal body, mind and soul.

Once at the Casa, the food is as much a part of the process as these other elements. With lots of fresh fruit, veggies, salads, beans, rice and other nutritional foods, the body can heal over time. Whereas, with exercise, meditation, prayer and treatment so too the mind and soul.

Touring the most holy and sacred sites of Brazil can be fun and enlightening. The tour also provides a great deal of fun while making new friends in the process. Considering the health food, psychic health advisement, exercise and healing benefits of the region, some have claimed feeling as if having been reborn in body, mind and spirit upon returning home.
