They take a holistic approach to the health of patients by taking advantage of the interaction between the body, mind and spirit. The mind influences the functioning of various parts of the body.

Biological methods involve the use of vitamins, herbs and special diets to restore wellness. Most of the substances used are available in nature. They include supplements, herbal medicines, foods, megavitamin and supplements. The specific herbal treatments may vary from one region to another. There are also several non-herbal remedies and non-vitamin substances that may be used. These include glucosamine, omega-3 fatty acids and fatty acid.
